Ross Perot is a legend of American politics.
For centuries, the race for the White House came down to choosing between a Republican and a Democrat. Perot was the only one who successfully challenged the two-party system when he snatched almost 20% of the popular vote in the 1992 elections.
Perot is a self-made billionaire who had an exceptional nose to anticipate the technological breakthrough of the 1960s. Founder of Electronic Data Systems, he was nicknamed the “fastest richest Texan” once the stock price for his company increased ten folds in a matter of days.
After selling EDS to General Motors for $2.4 billion, Ross conceived Perot Systems Corporation. It too would later sell for a similar astronomic figure, this time to Dell.
